Switching

Move from CookieYes in five steps

GoConsent lists every tracker on your site and what adds it.

  4. Update your policy pages

Build them in GoConsent’s Tools tab, and remove any CookieYes shortcodes from your old pages.

  5. Check the result

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is GoConsent a free alternative to CookieYes?

Yes. The free GoConsent plugin on WordPress.org has no visit limits, needs no account and runs on your own WordPress server. GoConsent Pro adds more for businesses that want it.

How much does GoConsent Pro cost compared with CookieYes?

GoConsent Pro is $49 a year for one site, with no traffic limit. CookieYes’s lowest plan for one site, Basic, is $10 a month, 2 months free if paid yearly.

Can I run GoConsent and CookieYes together?

We don’t recommend it. Two consent tools mean two banners and two sets of blocking rules. Deactivate CookieYes once GoConsent is installed.

Will my CookieYes consent records move to GoConsent?

No. GoConsent keeps its own records on your server from the day you install it. If you need CookieYes’s records as proof, keep a copy before you remove it.

When is CookieYes the better choice?

If you publish personalized ads to EU and UK visitors and need IAB TCF, a plugin that offers it fits better. GoConsent doesn’t include TCF.
