Browser privacy signals

GoConsent™ honors Global Privacy Control (GPC). If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising. Because there is no common standard for “Do Not Track” signals, we rely on GPC and the choices you make in “Your Privacy Choices.”

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) request. There is no agreed standard for what DNT means, so the site does not change when it receives one. We do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC), which several state laws recognize as an opt-out request.

How we share your information

GoConsent™ does not sell your personal information or rent customer lists. We share it only as described below.

An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be sent to the Gravatar service to show your profile picture; Gravatar’s privacy policy is at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Comments and their details are kept until you ask us to remove them.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above:

  • Questions and requests: up to 3 years after our last contact
  • Customer and transaction records: as long as tax, accounting and warranty laws require
  • Email lists: until you unsubscribe
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months

The site uses encryption (HTTPS) for everything sent to and from it, and we limit access to people and providers who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If a security breach affects your personal information, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
